with the musical legacy left by original owner of the home, the Inn was named for the lovely Strauss Waltz, "Tales of the Vienna Woods." CamillaWicks is a renowned violinist and teacher who designed the home to accommodate students as they came to study with her in this inspired setting. It was her desire to settle in Leavenworth after years of teaching around the world. However, students of her caliber were mostly on university scholarship and so she found herself lured back to the academic setting. Interestingly the home was then rented for a time, mostly to musicians and music teachers. Built in 1982, the three story house features a recital hall acoustically designed with wood floor and performance lighting. It has the feel of a gracious old home with a lovely staircase adorning the brick entry, ten foot ceilings, antique panel doors, brick fireplace and large country kitchen. It is warm, spacious and elegant.
